The New Impressionism

I like to think of New Age piano music as the new Impressionism. The new visual artists of our generation are doing something called "Plein Air" painting. We too as musicians have our own special niche. We celebrate the beauty of nature using music as our means of expression. As vailid an art form as any, it's also a much needed art for the masses as it communicates joy and peace. Let's stop being "ashamed" of the New Age label and embrace it for what it is - a new form of impressionism that has found it's place in the world.
