Many of you have probably seen pianists on television doing remarkable things with their hands. They criss-cross, jump up and down, and seem to have a life of their own.
When it comes to New Age piano playing however, we can pretty much leave the acrobatics out of the picture. We focus on a few techniques that allow us to quickly jump into making music. For instance, there is a technique used by classical pianists that has the left-hand jump over the right to play chords or melodies. It's a very cool thing and can add much to your music.
