Recommended Video: Chopin - Prelude No.24 in D Minor

What is this pianist doing? Well, for the most part, he's playing an ostinato pattern in the left hand while the right plays various single note runs, octaves, etc.

The concentration required to be able to play this is high. However, once you understant "what" a pianist is doing, it makes the task much easier.

Yes, he's playing fast, Yes the technique is phenomenal, but if you understand the technique used here (ostinato pattern) you can do the same. How? By S L O W I N G D O W N until you can play faster.

Pretty cool huh?
