Just saw this new and cool video showing a nice voicing for open position chords. He uses a voicing I've actually never used before but sounds really great.
In the left hand we have the root, the fifth, and the octave. In the right he plays the 9th, the fifth, and doubles the ninth again. And it sounds great!
