The Flowering Of Children's Creativity

Here's a video by my artistic mentor Michelle Cassou. Over 10 years ago, Michelle and Stewart Cubley wrote a book together titled "Life, Paint, and Passion." Now, I'm no painter (although I do enjoy the visual arts) but I picked up this book and couldn't put it down.

Why? Because here was a philosophy that focused exclusively on the process of painting. The primary concern of both authors was to go past anything you might have learned and rely entirely on intuition. A very radical approach to painting since most adults want to create a product worthy of admiration.

But Cassou and Cubley wisely saw past this obession for creating an end product and shrewdly introduced a new way to paint. A way where the product wasn't nearly as important as tapping into your own creative source.
