Recommended Listening - Wayne Gratz - Birds in Flight

Just took a listen to this one and wanted to share. This music video is a perfect example of what I like - feeling behind the notes. In much New Age piano music, you have people playing technically well, but it really doesn't do much for you.

It all has to do with you! You see, if you're not present, if your mind is somewhere else, it will register in the music. It's an instant transmission of feeling in the present. Which is why some people 'have it' and some don't. This isn't to say those who don't 'have it' can't, it's just that they need to really get an idea of being able to stay in the present with the music.

Wayne Gratz gets it. But, that's just me. :)
