Recommended Listening: Ludovico Einaudi - Oltremare

If you haven't heard of this guy and you're into New Age piano music, then you are missing something interesting. Einaudi is fast becoming this generation's "George Winston."

Actually, I'm new to him as well and most say he's got a very nice thing going on here. In fact, this guy sells out concerts all over Europe. Here's some info on him:

Ludovico Einaudi is an Italian contemporary classical music composer and pianist. His phenomenal CD sales and ability to sell out major concert halls worldwide are confirmation that

Einaudi is one of classical music's success stories of recent years. After studying at the Conservatory in Milan, and subsequently with Berio, he spent several years composing in traditional forms. In the mid-1980s he began to search for a more personal expression in a series of works for dance and multimedia, and later for piano.

His music is ambient, meditative and often introspective, drawing on minimalism, world music, and contemporary pop. He has made a significant impact in the film world, with four international awards to his name.

    Hi Edward,

Yes, lovely new age style from Einaudi. I tried to listen to the left hand pattern. Is he using any pattern that is not covered in your lesson ?
It sounded simple. Could you please analyse it for us students ?
    Thanks. Take care.
    cheers,
