Recommended Listening: 'Watercolor'- Michael Gettel

Here's an interesting one. Using a bass-chord pattern in the left hand, Gettel creates a very nice background mood ... very similar to what watercolor artists do actually.

He 'paints in' the background first using the left hand bass and chords and then adds in a very nice melody in the right hand. The result is a very nice piece of music.

Michael Gettel has been in the piano game for some time. He used to record for the Narada label but now? Ah... well you know, New Age music hit it's peak in the mid 80's but is making a come back.

Anyway, wanted to share this with you as it illustrates a nice technique - left hand bass and chord!
