Piano Video Lessons - A New Way to Learn Piano!

When most people think piano lessons, teachers, benches, and clunky pianos come to mind. But now that the internet has come of age we don't need to actually be there in person.

We can learn online with piano video lessons. In fact, here's one you might enjoy. It's titled "Reflections in Water" and shows you how to improvise right away!

You may be thinking "well how can I learn piano on the computer?" A perfectly valid question. And one that requires an explanation.

You see, the internet has made it possible to actually see what a teacher is doing and communicate with them as well! Web sites like YouTube and Google Video have made it possible to watch a teacher give instruction.

Even more important is the ability to "speak" with your virtual instructor. This too is possible and very easy to do. Message boards, forums, and even video email is now available where students can contact and ask their teachers questions.

But the real advantage of piano video lessons is the cost! Usually, the fee to see a "live" teacher can run you anywhere from $30 to $60 per hour. That can get pretty expensive fast. In fact, if you were to take lessons from a local piano teacher for a year, it could run you into the thousands of dollars.

Not so for virtual piano lessons. Here the cost can be as low as $19 a month!

Now, what is actually available online? Well, you can learn how to play classical music, blues piano, jazz piano, and my favorite genre, New Age piano. And all of these styles are affordable and accessible online.

But are you the kind of person that would do well with online instruction? Most adults are. Are you self-motivated? Then taking online lessons is a good choice because it puts you in charge of your own schedule. Do you like working at your own pace? If so, you will enjoy learning in a virtual environment. Most online courses allow you to take your time and learn how you want to learn.

All in all, piano video lessons are an excellent choice for the adult piano student.
