New Age Music Original Piano Solo - "Riverland" by Galya

I really like this one. I like the way she plays - her "sound" if you will. But what I'd like to share with you and teach you here is composition.

Listen to the theme. Listen to how she repeats and varies the theme. Then listen when whe introduces new material. Is it a transition, a new theme?

When you start listening "for sections," you'll be thinking like a composer.

The other thing I wanted to share with you is that much of new age piano music is textural. It's as if new age composers fear melody. But melody is the one element of music that listeners hold onto more than any other.

Especially when it's a very beautiful one played here.
